Services Provided
SCM Sumter Concrete provides professional concrete contractor services including but not limited to driveways, patios, foundations, stamped concrete, repairs, walkways, commercial work, and masonry. All services are subject to availability, scheduling, and site conditions. We reserve the right to decline any project that we determine is not suitable for our services or expertise.
Quotes and Estimates
We provide free quotes and estimates for our services. These estimates are based on the information available at the time of inspection and are subject to change if site conditions, project scope, or material costs change. Final pricing will be confirmed in writing before work begins.
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. After 30 days, we may need to reassess pricing based on current material costs and availability.
Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined in your service agreement. Typically, we require a deposit before starting work and final payment upon completion. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Payment is due as specified in your contract.
Late payments may be subject to additional fees as permitted by South Carolina law. We reserve the right to place a lien on your property for unpaid services as allowed by state law.
Project Timeline
We strive to complete all projects on schedule. However, timelines may be affected by weather conditions, material availability, unforeseen site conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will communicate any delays promptly and work to minimize their impact on your project.
Permits and Regulations
It is the property owner's responsibility to obtain any necessary permits for concrete work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We can assist with permit applications if requested, but ultimate responsibility lies with the property owner. All work will be performed in compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Warranty and Guarantees
We stand behind our work and offer warranties on our labor and workmanship as specified in your service agreement. Typical warranties cover defects in workmanship for a specified period after completion. Warranties do not cover damage caused by improper use, neglect, extreme weather events, or normal wear and tear.
Concrete naturally develops some minor cracking over time. We use control joints and proper installation techniques to minimize this, but we cannot guarantee that no cracks will ever appear. Hairline cracks are considered normal and are not covered under warranty.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services. We maintain proper insurance coverage and operate in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a scheduled project, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start date may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover materials ordered and scheduling costs. Specific terms will be outlined in your service agreement.
Property Access and Safety
You agree to provide safe access to the work site and to secure any pets during our work hours. We will take reasonable precautions to protect your property, but we are not responsible for damage to underground utilities, irrigation systems, or other hidden features that were not disclosed or marked prior to excavation.
It is your responsibility to contact utility location services before we begin excavation work. We can assist with this process if needed.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
